There are different types of cat allergy treatment available, but before addressing any treatment, we must first discuss what causes a cat allergy and what the symptoms are.

An allergic reaction to a cat is caused by the human body’s immune system mistaking cat hair & dander as a “dangerous substance”. The immune system is attempting to ward off these “dangerous substances”. This causes symptoms like that of hay fever.

Symptoms

There are many different allergy symptoms, but they mostly depend on what type of cat allergy you are diagnosed with: cat hair, cat dander, cat flea, or cat skin allergy. Also, there are many different types of cat allergy treatment, so different symptoms require different treatments.

Swollen and Watery Eyes

This is usually caused by tiny pieces of cat dust and dander traveling from the cat’s skin through the air and into your eyes. You will usually have itchy eyes and they will be red at times. You can get rid of the swelling and watery eyes by either removing the cat or by taking eye drops.

Wheezing and Coughing

Just as in the cause of the itchy, watery, swollen eyes, cat dust and dander can travel through the air and be breathed in through the mouth. The muscles in the airways will contract in a reaction to the dander coming in contact with your airways, resulting in difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing.

Excema

Sometimes cat dander will come in contact with the skin and cause itchy, red, dry sections. To remedy this, minimize scratching and moisturize the area.

Other symptoms include sneezing and running/stuffy nose.

Treatments

A cat allergy treatment is available in pill form, so your doctor may be able to subscribe something if you have symptoms of cat allergy. Another cat allergy treatment is available in the form of antihistamine nasal sprays. However, these methods provide only temporary relief. Here are some tips to minimize your cat allergies:

Keep the cat out of certain rooms.

Keep the house well-ventilated.

Vacuum often.

By knowing what the symptoms and causes for you cat allergies are, it is much easier to identify treatments. By using the information in this article, you should be able to ease your allergies quite well.

Anybody who has wended his or her way through the linguistic excellences and frequently petulant schemers in Shakespeare’s plays longs, at some point, to say to Lady Macbeth herself, “Out, out, damned spot!” After all, how much can anyone take of such a relentlessly scheming prod to the plot of Duncan’s uninvited demise and Macbeth’s unmotivated remorse. Perhaps Macbeth’s own murderously ambitious temperament can be traced to having to live with such a harridan.

At any rate, the bad news for us is that the unpleasant lady just won’t make her exit. Now, some behavioral researchers, in a bit of a stretch to lend cultural embellishment to their not-entirely-revelatory discovery, have named a syndrome in her dishonor.

It appears that people who do things they consider wrong, such as lying, cheating, or stealing your identity, often feel better after they wash their hands. Apparently, a lot of these guilt-ridden malefactors wash their hands with manic frequency.

In an article that appears in the journal Science, Chen-Bo Zhong and co-author Katie Liljenquist say, “The association between moral and physical purity has been taken for granted for so long that it was startling that no one had ever shown empirical evidence of it.”

Now unladylike Macbeth makes her regrettable entrance.

The researchers have decided to call the urge to wash the “Macbeth effect,” after the scene in which, as we’ve all known since we held our palms to our mouths in high school at her awful example of adult misbehavior, Lady Macbeth, looking at her dye-besotted hands, calls, “Out, damned spot! Out, I say!”

“We do believe there might be limits to how well simple hand washing can clean your slate,” Chen-Bo said, “but it remains to be seen where that limit is.”

The effort to cleanse is an aspect of what psychologists consider compensatory behavior.

In a stretch of our own, maybe that’s why talk show hosts often like to hideout on the weekend. They’ve spent so much time talking to people like Chen-Bo Zhong they just need to wash those folks right out of their hair.

I just heard about a new type of dietary supplement. It’s unlike any other supplement I’ve tried or even read about. This supplement is called Zeolitesupport zeolite. This unique product isn’t a food or a drug or a nutritional supplement. After what I’ve read, I believe that we should all use Zeolitesupport zeolites.

The most common type of dietary supplement (and one of the oldest) is vitamins. Vitamins are organic compounds that work with the chemistry of your body. They are needed to provide nutrients that our bodies are incapable of producing on their own. For example, vitamin D works with calcium (a mineral) to make bones strong. Lack of vitamin D causes a condition called rickets, which causes bones to be soft and become deformed. Children are more susceptible to the damage caused by rickets because their bones are softer and still growing. And you surely remember the stories of the British sailors eating limes on their long sea voyages to prevent the scurvy that is caused by a shortage of vitamin C.

Another common category of dietary supplements is minerals. Unlike vitamins, dietary minerals are not organic. They are chemical compounds that act as building blocks in your bodily structure. The most common minerals in the body are the elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. These elements are the basis of all organic compounds. These are not the ones you need to worry about (unless you are drowning or starving). An example of two minerals that work together are sodium and potassium. These electrolytes work together to control the passage of water into and out of the individual cells. Another commonly required mineral is calcium. While calcium performs a number of duties in the body, the most important duty is to make bones and teeth strong. Calcium is the main component of bones and teeth.

Other nutritional supplements contain larger components than just vitamins and minerals. These are substances such as lycopene that are found in various fruits and vegetables. If you eat a well-balanced diet with the emphasis on fruits and vegetables, you don’t need to worry about these substances. The key to making the right choices is in the color of the foods. The more complete the rainbow of fruits and vegetables you eat, the more of these substances will be included in your diet. Include red tomatoes, strawberries, and peppers; orange sweet potatoes, oranges, and cantaloupe; yellow squash and lemons; green spinach, kale, and turnip greens; and blue/purple grapes, cranberries, and blackberries.

Now we get to the new supplement, zeolite. Zeolite is not a nutritional mineral that builds your body. It improves your health not by adding but by subtracting. It is an unusual mineral with an unusual structure. When it has been processed, its structure contains small holes or tubes that act as a sieve within your body. When you take this supplement, it enters your bloodstream, where its small holes trap unwanted substances and removes them from your body. Taken in the proper doses, it acts as a chelating agent that will remove poisons and impurities from your system. This supplement, in addition to your nutritional supplements, will increase your health and energy.

I have previously discussed weight loss products with regards to material products like shoes and weights. This article will focus on nutrition products and food. As usual I will keep things simple and abide by the principle that weight loss must remain easy or it will remain elusive. I will first talk about the basic staple that you must have in your kitchen and then I will discuss supplements.

Having a fully stocked kitchen can be a dangerous thing that allows you to gorge and snack but having an empty kitchen can be even worse by driving you out the door to a fast food restaurant. The key is to keep enough of the right things on hand without going overboard. Think lean protein, like chicken, turkey, egg whites, etc. I like to grill a couple of days worth of meat and keep it in the fridge for quick easy satisfying meals. This one trick will save you over and over. I really like egg beaters and boiled eggs, egg beaters are easy, fast and clean, while boiled eggs are just a reach away.

Next think fruit and veggies, get plenty, keep some in the fridge and leave some out. Cut some for quick snacks and keep them visible. Anything that is starting to look a little over ripe makes a great smoothie or juice. Smoothies are a great way to reduce waste, add something to your diet that tastes like a treat, and get some extra fruit and veggies. Try adding vegetables to some of your smoothies for some interesting flavor combinations.

As far as snacks go, keep some nuts on hand and small amounts of other healthy options. Yogurt is always good, and cheese can be a great protein rich treat that goes with nearly anything.

I like to avoid store bought juice, potato chips, most cereals, bread, granola bars. I find that if I keep most of the above mentioned on hand I really don’t have too many cravings, out of sight out of mind.

Supplements mostly fit into the snake oil category. There are a few exceptions. Protein powder is low calorie, filling, and can greatly assist with getting your protein intake up to achieve muscle building. Creatine is a tried tested and proven supplement that will help you gain muscle and strength, increase your energy and your work capacity, or if you are in a heavy diet phase reduce your muscle loss. Fish oil will assist with your recovery and get you a good dose of healthy fat. Multi vitamins can be a good addition, some people swear by them others don’t have much response. If you are eating a low carb diet fiber supplements are a good idea and green products can give you a good dose nutrients. Everything else on the market including fat burners are a waste of money. Do not be swayed by the brilliant add campaigns, that body builder got to 3% body fat because of diet, exercise discipline and a little lack of sanity. I am not saying that many supplements don’t work I am saying that your return on investment is virtually nil. Save your money or spend it on better nutrition.

Since this ‘Weight Loss Magic’ program is so incredibly short and simple, I’m giving it away for free… here it is:

The ‘Weight Loss Magic’ program consists of two extremely simple parts:

Part 1: Meals – You will restrict yourself to one stalk of celery and a glass of water three times a day.

Part 2: Exercise – You will jog or run a minimum of 15 miles every day.

(This program is soon to be featured on late night infomercials, with Oprah as the guest host… a former unnamed President will demonstrate his jogging style, and favorite ‘brand’ of celery)

Okay, I’m sure you’re through laughing now… you certainly realize that although this would work, it’s not a feasible method of weight loss – not only because of it’s impracticality, but also because the human body has a ‘memory’ for body shape and weight – and losing weight that quickly does not erase this ‘memory’. Your body would quickly recover to what it believed was normal.

Losing weight must be done gradually, no more than approximately 1-3 pounds each week – this way, the body has the time to adapt to it’s new ‘memory’, and will resist changes – including the reaction to gain weight back. This is why the weight that stays off is the weight that comes off at the same pace as it was put on. No-one simply wakes up one morning, and complains about their sudden extra 50 pounds of weight. You didn’t put it on overnight; you put it on a few ounces here, a pound or two over a span of a week or more. This is the same speed that you must use to take your excess body weight off.

Losing weight too quickly will lead to losing muscle mass – which is counter-productive for safe and healthy weight loss. Your muscles utilize energy – and energy not utilized gets deposited as fat. This is why building up your muscles greatly exaggerates the effects of any diet. When you lose weight at a slow and steady pace, you’re losing mostly fat – but when you try to lose weight quickly, you are dropping water weight which quickly returns, and muscle weight which is difficult to replace.

So if you want to spend the money you earn on diet programs that promise fast weight loss – you can lose weight quickly, but it will be a meaningless victory – since you’ll just as quickly put it back on. Real weight loss requires a change of lifestyle, both in learning to eat properly and learning to exercise your body moderately.
